Code of Conduct

At QoMEX, we encourage open exchange of ideas, freedom of expressions, and respectful scientific debates. To facilitate these, we value an environment where people of different backgrounds and cultural experiences feel expected, reflected and respected. QoMEX is dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone, regardless of gender, race, age, culture, language, religion, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, among others. As such, conference participants, including organizers, speakers, attendees, volunteers, sponsors, exhibitors, and anyone else, are expected to behave professionally and do not engage in any form of harassment. Harassment includes the use of abusive, offensive or degrading language, intimidation, stalking, harassing photography or recording, inappropriate physical contact, sexual imagery and unwelcome sexual advances or requests for sexual favors.

If a participant violates these rules, the QoMEX organizing committee may take any action they deem appropriate, ranging from issuance of a warning to the offending individual to expulsion from the conference with no refund, depending on the circumstances. The organizing committee reserves the right to exclude any participant found to be engaging in harassing behavior from participating in any further QoMEX events.

If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns relating to harassment, please contact the general co-chairs Tiago Falk (Tiago.Falk at inrs.ca) and Amy Reibman (reibman at purdue.edu).
